We are so excited that you've decided to follow us on our journey. Here are our latest project updates:
July 10th, 2018: Our project was by Parade Magazine as a Sustainable Project to check out in 2018. We are so proud to represent the state of Delaware. Check out the website in thisOur project has finally come to fruition! The bags are all printed and in 16 of the shops in Historic Lewes. All of these stores have agreed to be apart of the solution and joined Businesses for Better Bags, meaning they are taking active steps to reduce plastic bag waste. The bags that we created are all made in the USA and from recycled plastic bottles. So by purchasing one, not only are you helping to reduce single use plastic, but you are also reusing another recycled plastic product.
All stores will sell the bags for $10. This ensures that the project is self-sustaining. Businesses are not making a profit on the bags, rather they are using the money that you spend to purchase the next shipment. We encourage people to shop at the local businesses and support their stores in an effort to thank them for making the environment a priority. As a result, bags are available to be purchased through the Lewes Chamber of Commerce website, but the cost of the bag is increased.
We would like to thank Delaware Sea Grant, the Major of Lewes, the City Council, the Green Team and the stores below for making this project become a reality.

Stay tuned for designs and more details. We are aware that some of your may not be in the Lewes area but are tied to Lewes and may want to purchase a bag.
